PTO Event Calendar
The Lawrence PTO hosts events to promote community building and student enrichment throughout the year. Tickets and purchases at some of these events also raise critical funds for classroom support and other PTO-funded initiatives. Helping to plan or run events is a great way to meet other parents and caregivers at Lawrence!

Fall Events
Coffee & Kleenex - Coffee catch-up with new and returning community members on the first two days of school.
New Family Welcome - Meet and greet with key Lawrence staff and community members, specifically for new-to-Lawrence families.
Fall Picnic - Evening picnic on the field to catch up and meet other Lawrence community members.
Food Fest - Evening of activities that educate about healthy food choices and how our decisions impact our environment and community. (We’re looking to restart this event! Interested? Contact: president@lawrenceschoolbrookline.org)
Fun Run - A 1K and 5K for the Lawrence community - for all ages and abilities!
Picture Day - Student photos taken for the yearbook.
Halloween Costume Swap - Collection/sale of gently-used/new Halloween costumes.
International Night - An evening of entertainment, games and activities that allow Lawrence to share the cultures within our community. Incorporating our aspects from our Japanese Fair tradition and formerly known as “Family Fun at International Night”
Apple Pie Making - Making apple pies to be donated to the Brookline Food Pantry, while raising funds for a holiday gift drive at school. (We’re looking to restart this event! Interested? Contact: president@lawrenceschoolbrookline.org)
K-5 Glow Party! - New in 2025, introducing a glow-in-the-dark dance party for Lawrence K-4 students and their families!
Winter Events
Bridging Brookline to Boston - A social opportunity to bring Brookline & Boston-based families together for an afternoon of bowling fun!
Early Release Day Activities - PTO-hosted activities to keep students busy after early dismissal on early release days (traditionally a movie showing in the auditorium). (fundraiser for 8th grade graduation)
Lawrence Staff Appreciation - A themed appreciation luncheon organized by parents for the teachers and staff.
Lawrence Reads - A book club discussion geared towards grades 3-5

Student Showcase - New in 2025! The Student Showcase is a fun-filled variety show to highlights the unique skills and creativity of our middle schoolers.
Art Show - Art exhibition of student work organized by the art department and volunteers.
Lawrence Staff Appreciation - Appreciation event organized by parents for the teachers and staff.
Used Book Fair - Used book sale for students, teachers and the community (donations are collected throughout the school year).
Spring Picnic - Evening picnic on the field to catch up and meet other Lawrence community members.
Kindergarten Welcome - Informal playdates to help our incoming kindergarteners meet one another.
8th Grade Graduation - Ceremony and reception organized by the school and supported by the PTO.
