What We Do
The Lawrence PTO works with families, educators, and school leadership to enhance learning, create opportunities for students, and strengthen the Lawrence community. PTO funding and volunteers support programs and experiences that go beyond what the school budget alone can provide.
Support Learning & Educators
We provide classroom allocations and educator grants that give teachers the flexibility to respond to student needs, try new approaches, and bring creative ideas into the classroom.
PTO support helps fund things such as classroom materials, books and literacy resources, hands-on projects, visiting experts, and professional learning.
Enrich the Student Experience
We help make learning happen beyond the classroom through field trips, visiting artists and authors, extracurricular activities, athletics, and other hands-on experiences.
The PTO also provides substantial support for longstanding Lawrence experiences such as seventh-grade Farm School.
Build Community
A strong school community depends on opportunities to connect.
The PTO organizes and supports events throughout the year, including the Fall Picnic, Fun Run, Fall Fest, Glow Party, International Night, Used Book Fair, Spring Picnic, community coffees, and other gatherings.
Support Access & Belonging
PTO funding supports need-based assistance for school and activity expenses, community support, and scholarships. We also fund programs and resources that promote inclusion, belonging, and student well-being.
Made Possible by Our Community
None of this happens without Lawrence families.
Donations to the Annual Appeal provide a major share of the funding that makes these programs possible, while volunteers bring many of our events and initiatives to life.
